Generation Ministries

  Children’s Church

Sister Tina Wallace, Teacher.  Classes are held on the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays of each month in the Fellowship Hall for children ages four to nine.

  Laubach Literacy

Assistance is available for those who would like to learn to read.

  Tutorial Program

Sister Chelsa Brown, Director.  Homework assistance is provided on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.

  Youth Department

Sister Shirley Brown, Director.  A variety of activities are provided for the youth during the year.

Discipleship Ministries

  Deacons and Trustees

Deacon Joe Brown, Chairman.  These Boards assist the Pastor in the Administrative matters of the Church.

  New Members Class

Pastor Russell orientates new members about the Ministries at Lake Elam.  He also takes this opportunity to get to know them  individually.

  Sunday School

Deacon Joe Brown, Superintendent.  Classes are available for all age groups.

Mission/Outreach Ministries

  Athletics Program

Coach Dwayne Milford.  The Lake Elam Lakers Basketball Team is open to all youth of the church.

  Counseling

Pastor Russell is available for counseling sessions by appointment.

  Hospitality

Deacon Clarence Former, Chairman.  This ministry prepares food for anniversary programs and repast services.

  Ministers’, Deaconess, and Trustees Wives

Sister Valorie Pettaway, President.  These ladies do missionary work in the community, provide assistance to  new church members and other ministries within the church.

  Mission Department

Sister Annie Long, President.  This ministry consists of the Matrons, Crusaders, Red Circle, and Sun Beams who aid the sick in the church and community.

  Nurses Guild

Sister Dee Dee Childs, RN, President.  Assistance is provided to worshippers who become ill during service.   Nurses provide toiletries to the sick in the community and offer free CPR classes.

Worship Ministries

  Bible Study

Pastor Russell teaches the infallible word of God on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.  There are classes available  for all age groups.

  Media Ministry

Deacon Samuel Zeigler.  Sunday sermons and special events are converted to cassette tape and available for purchase.

  Music Ministry

Minister Glenn Wallace, Director.  The Adult Choir sings on 1^st and 4^th Sundays; the Male Chorus sings on the 2^nd Sunday; and the Youth/Young Adult Choir sings on 3^rd and 5^th Sundays.

  Praise Dancers

Individuals express themselves through creative interpretations of worship music.

  Usher Ministry

Mother Rebecca Long, President.  Ushers duties include welcoming worshippers into the sanctuary and escorting them to their seats.
